  • Dr. Stephanie Lee : CEO and Medical Director

    Dr. Lee is a native of the Steele Creek area and has loved animals for as long as she can remember. During a career fair in second grade, she spent the majority of her time with the veterinarian and decided then she would one day help animals. She attended North Carolina State University undergraduate school (1990-1993) and College of Veterinary Medicine (1993-1997). Dr. Lee worked in general practice for 10 years before moving into shelter medicine and spay/neuter.

    Outside of work, Dr. Lee stays busy with her vibrant daughter and many rescued pets, including dogs, cats, two hedgehogs, and a goldfish. Her hobbies include reading, walking/hiking with her daughter and dogs, listening to music, gardening, and enjoying the local wildlife.

  • Dr. Elizabeth Stack : Wellness Veterinarian

    Dr. Stack graduated from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA with her undergraduate degree in large animal science prior to attending Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (1998). She started in mixed practice and then transitioned into small animal emergency in 2000. In 2012, she started her shelter medicine career at Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control, followed by the Humane Society of Charlotte. She joined the SnipWell team in 2022 to provide wellness services. In her spare time, she enjoys live music, traveling, and snuggling with her dog, Bodhi & her 3 cats: Binx, Droopy Drawers, & Tywin.

  • Dr. Nicolette Peer : Wellness Veterinarian

    Dr. Peer proclaimed at the age of five she would be a veterinarian and never wavered from that goal. A graduate of Duke University and Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she has dedicated her career to the health and better treatment of animals.

    An avid animal lover, Dr. Peer is the go-to expert for all animal-related questions from her friends and family. Outside of work, Dr. Peer is a relentless reader, ballroom dancer, and dating reality show junkie.

  • Lee Ann Nix : COO

    Lee Ann’s passion for animal welfare began when she adopted her first rescue pet while in college. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2013 and began an internship with the local humane society. After moving to Charlotte to continue her nonprofit career, she decided to pursue a Master of Nonprofit Leadership and Management degree from Arizona State University, graduating in 2021. As COO of SnipWell, she gets to focus on multiple aspects of employee, client, & patient care, making her dream a reality. In her spare time, she enjoys going on adventures with her 2 daughters, doing yoga, meditating, reading, and baking. She has many fur babies of all ages, including 3 cats- Ms. Kitty, Sookie, & Possum, and 2 dogs- Dallas & Sonic.

  • Destiny Leach : Client Service Representative

    Destiny has had a love for animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up with a family that was guilty of constantly taking in strays/rescues, she spent quality time taking care of all kinds of pets such as dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, reptiles, and fish! Destiny graduated from South Piedmont Community College in 2019 and began office work as an Operations Enablement Specialist, working from home with her 3 kitties: Kami, Jasper, and Cleocatra. Looking for work to better align with her passions, Destiny joined the SnipWell team in 2023 to pursue her love for animals and expand her knowledge. In her free time, Destiny enjoys hiking, cooking, and cuddling with her fur-babies!

  • Cassie Whisnant : Client Services Associate

    Cassie got her first dog Fluffy at the age of 7 and has loved animals ever since. She dove into the animal field at age 23, working for a boarding facility and has since transferred into veterinary medicine. Cassie currently has two rescue pets that she loves dearly, her adorable Pomeranian, Brodie, and her playful cat, Jasper. In her spare time, Cassie enjoys kayaking in the summer and traveling to the mountains in the fall.

  • Ana Torres : Lead Veterinary Assistant

    Ana’s love for animals began when she was very young. From kindergarten through high school, she would often bring home strays and pet sit for family and friends. Animals have been an important part of Ana’s life as long as she can remember. She enjoys caring for them and has always been determined to have a career in the veterinary field. To stay close to animals, she volunteered at her local humane shelter and was eventually offered a position as a client services representative for the spay/neuter clinic. Thanks to her hard work and dedication, she transitioned to lead veterinary assistant. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing & living life to the fullest with her husband, 2 sons, & Great Dane, Ben.

  • Maya Bouboulis : Veterinary Assistant

    Maya joined the SnipWell team in 2022, coming from a kennel manager position at a local veterinary hospital. Throughout her childhood, she worked on a farm feeding horses, cleaning stalls, and teaching horse riding lessons. More recently, she took a ranch-hand position working with horses. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends, eating, and spending time with her dog & cat, Emmy Lou and Goose.

  • Whitney Giannini : Veterinary Assistant

    Whitney’s love of animals started when she was young. She used to bring home all kinds of animals that she found outside and learned to care for them. Whitney’s first job with animals was at a puppy store over 10 years ago, and since then she’s had various roles in the animal industry. Whitney started at SnipWell in November of 2022. Her animal family at home consists of 3 cats- Kevin, Randall, & Caesar.

  • Lydia Maldonado : Veterinary Assistant

    Lydia’s love for animals began in Puerto Rico, where she grew up on a farm. She moved to New York City as a teenager and adopted her own fur babies from the ASPCA. Lydia has worked in the animal welfare field in various roles at animal controls & humane societies, with experience in disaster relief, food banks, & vaccine clinics. She is also bilingual in Spanish & English! She joined the SnipWell team in 2022 as a Veterinary Assistant to continue educating herself in veterinary medicine and pursue her passion for loving all things furry! She currently has 2 dogs, Rambo and Wally, and loves to be anywhere sunny with them!

  • Jennifer Solarski : Veterinary Assistant

    Jennifer’s love of animals started as a young toddler, as there were always animals in her home. She learned to care for them and continued that journey when she took her first job with animals at a local animal hospital. She then moved to a boarding facility to continue her career and, from there, she joined the SnipWell team in 2019. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys cooking, kayaking and hiking, and has many adventures with her precious dog Lumi.
